The Groningen game against Ajax in the Dutch league was abandoned today after a fire in the stands. It would appear that there was a display of toilet rolls thrown which seems to have caught ablaze. Early days yet but that’s what seems to be happening in the picture below.
Hibs and Groningen fans have close fans links. Numerous fans from Groningen travel to Easter Road and vice versa. Check out the Green Brotherhood.

It was an accident by the sounds of things, over exuberant toilet roll throwing. Hope that guy wasn’t too badly burnt.

Wow. That is intense and scary. I agree with Nicusor but also think it was an accident. Although that does not mean it happens on purpose either. Way crazy pic.

Wow, I wonder if that guy even realized his neck was burning, because it seemed that getting away was more important to him, than actually putting out the fire on his neck.

I think its safe to say it was an accident, fans can understandably get carried away during games when adrenaline takes over, Hope the guy in the pic is ok!
